Pennsylvania Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Associates at Hickory Veterinary Hospital is dedicated to providing your pet with "advanced" surgical procedures such as arthroscopy, total hip replacement, tibial plateau leveling osteotomy, and soft tissue surgeries. The surgical team strives to provide a compassionate, team-oriented approach to caring for our patients. Our patients are intensely monitored and cared for during their surgical procedure and during their recovery in the hospital. Our advanced patient care and monitoring including pulse oximetry, blood pressure measurement and electrocardiogram provide the very best for your pet. Oxygen therapy, blood product and transfusion therapy, IV fluid therapy, and pain management are just a sampling of the support your pet may receive.
We work closely with your regular veterinarian to ensure that you and your pet receive the best possible care, effective treatment and follow-up. Your veterinarian always receives a detailed referral report of your pet’s visit.
