Dr. Lauren Celano earned her degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Pennsylvania. Veterinary medicine is a second career for Dr. Celano, who worked in vaccine research as a biochemist at Merck and Co., Inc. While at Merck, she earned a Master of Science degree in molecular biology from Lehigh University.
After graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Celano completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and emergency critical care at Hickory Veterinary Hospital in Plymouth Meeting. Areas of interest include internal medicine, dermatology, dentistry and reducing fear and stress in her veterinary patients. Dr. Celano is fear free certified and certified in veterinary medical acupuncture. She is excited to return to Hickory Veterinary Hospital and resides in Doylestown, PA with her two daughters.
Dr. Celano will be seeing general practice appointments at both of our Hickory locations - Hickory Veterinary Primary Care (500 Willow Avenue Ambler PA) and Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital (2303 Hickory Road Plymouth Meeting PA).
