Continuing Education

Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital offers continuing education through our out reach program to local referring veterinary hospitals as well as veterinary technician teaching facilities. Our continuing education offers all members of the veterinary team a way to increase their knowledge base and learn about advances in the field

Alison Gottlieb BS, CVT, VTS (ECC)

Ali graduated from Towson State University with a BS in Animal Behavior. She obtained her CVT and later her VTS in Emergency and Critical Care.  Ali's area of interest in veterinary medicine is cats, pain recognition and management (acute and chronic) and low stress/Fear Free patient handling/patient care.

Alicia Carr CVT, VTS (ECC)

She graduated from Manor College and obtained her CVT and later her VTS (Veterinary Technician Specialist) in Emergency and Critical Care. In addition to mentoring students for the VTNE (Veterinary Technician National Exam), her favorite thing about veterinary medicine is disease process, with special interest in toxicities and pharmacology.
